Indacin works to reduce inflammation, fever, relieve pain, and treat a variety of health conditions associated with inflammation and body pain. It contains the active ingredient indomethacin, which is one of the nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs (NSAIDs).
Indacin is usually prescribed to treat conditions such as rheumatoid arthritis, osteoporosis, ankylosing spondylitis, and acute gout. It can also be used to relieve acute pain resulting from muscle or ligament injuries.
